ENCO Foundation - African Humanitarian Organization

ENCO Foundation is a Pan African humanitarian organization dedicated to partnering with communities to define their own destinies. Founded by Esther Ndegwa, who was inspired by Nelson Mandela's vision for Africa, she has become an influential philanthropist on the continent.

ENCO Foundation primarily focuses on vulnerable children, youth, women, and marginalized communities in Africa, empowering them through capacity building to expand their choices in life and overcome challenges such as lack of basic needs, self-esteem issues, and freedom from servitude. 

In its approach, the foundation emphasizes building strong capacity to effectively and equitably propel Africa onto an innovative path that fosters sustainable development and self-reliance.

The ENCO Foundation is dedicated to supporting stakeholders in capacity building, empowering them with the skills and knowledge necessary to collaborate effectively for positive change in managing sustainable initiatives. Our approach includes the transfer of knowledge and skills through participatory workshops, reflective action-learning using systematisation methodologies, and exposure through exchange programs. We aim to foster a more effective and cost-efficient strategy among organizations that operate in various disability domains. Additionally, we are committed to establishing a network for organizations involved in these projects, promoting the sharing of resources and best practices in disability initiatives. Furthermore, we facilitate mentorship programs to strengthen other disability initiatives, reinforcing our role as a humanitarian organization.
